Pediatric Gastroesophageal Update, Saturday, September 18, Claremont Hotel in Berkeley. This half day conference will focus on new advancements in understanding gastroesophageal reflux in children and adolescents. 4 CME hours and 3.8 CEU hours awarded.

Palliative Care Program: Heroes Among Us, Wednesday, August 18, St Luke’s Campus Café, featuring Deborah Grassman, author and nationally-renowned expert on end-of-life care, especially for veterans, who make up an increasing percentage of dying patients. She will lead a discussion on how we may successfully support our patients at end-of-life and describe essential concepts such as abiding, reckoning and beholding suffering so that suffering can be redeemed and patients transformed in a positive way. The role of therapeutic letter writing and forgiveness will also be explored. Reception and dinner, 6:00 p.m.; speaker’s presentation, 7:00 p.m. 1.5 CME credits and 1.5 Contact Hours Available, RN/LVN/LCSW. Seating is limited.
