Why You Should Attend
This symposium features updates on new guidelines for gastroesophageal reflux (GER) diagnosis and management. It will provide insight into new trends of thought in the physiopathology of GER and its therapy from experts in the fields of pediatric gastroenterology. You will gain insight into other conditions that can mimic reflux and implications of chronic reflux outside the esophagus. Reviews on current GER evaluation techniques including a review on nutrition assessment will also be part of this conference.

The symposium is designed for health care professionals who participate in the care of patients with gastrointestinal conditions, including physicians and nurses in internal medicine, family practice, gastroenterology and pediatrics.

- Describe at least 3 features of the new Pediatric GE Reflux Consensus Group guidelines.
- List 3 disease entities that can mimic GE reflux and how to differentiate them.

Follow Hwy 84 East over bridge, connect with 880 North. Follow Hwy 880 North and follow signs for Hwy 24 to Walnut Creek. Take the Claremont Avenue exit, turning left at the bottom of the exit onto Claremont. Turn right on Tunnel Road/Ashby Ave. (5th stoplight) and the Hotel’s entrance is two blocks ahead on the left.
Heading west on Hwy 580
From Hwy 580 West, merge onto Hwy 13 North (the Warren Freeway to Berkeley). Continue toward Berkeley through the stoplight and the Hotel’s entrance is 3/4 mile on the right.
Heading north on Hwy 680
Take Hwy 680 North to Hwy 580 West. Merge onto Hwy 13 North (the Warren Freeway to Berkeley). Continue toward Berkeley through the stoplight and the Hotel’s entrance is 3/4 mile on the right.
